Nothing until it sells. An auction house takes around a fifth from the seller and adds a quarter on top for the buyer — we are a good deal lighter, and rather quicker.

The figure on a listing is what you pay. Protection and delivery are already inside it, because both are unavoidable — there is no version of buying here where you do not need it posted and do not want it covered. Adding them at the last step would only make the first number look smaller than it is.
Everything travels unframed. Frames are heavy and glass is not covered by couriers, so the seller keeps theirs and the work goes flat — or rolled, if it is a print or a poster.

The seller keeps 88% of what they asked. A £20 poster rolled in a tube reaches the buyer at £27.20.
Buyers have fourteen days from delivery to raise anything. Once they confirm — or once the fortnight is up — the seller is paid.
